I am a writer of both poetry and fiction. I have “worn many hats” in my career which I hope is reflected in my writing. I have also travelled the world and consider life to be a journey, not a destination. My first love and passion since a very early age has been poetry. As a rebel at the age of six, I was removed without empathy from the classroom on a regular basis for not “conforming”. So I have long ago come to the conclusion I just see things “differently”. However, my grade one teacher kept my stories as she was convinced I would be a “writer one day”. Well, the day has finally come and I think I am now prepared to show the world what I have been ruminating on for so long…….I really hope you enjoy my work, and if I can inspire a smile in even one person, then my work will be done. This one is for you Mrs. Clark.
“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world”. Albert Einstein
A small gift of the day to share with your “special one.”
“My Wish” copyright 2005 John J. Rigo “Roses Amidst Thorns”
Within my soul beats the heart of my eternity.
Memories within a mind not forsaken,
nor to ever be forgotten.
Long kisses,
held close,
to the soul of us,
in love,
and in sadness,
still brings light.
That is my fate,
that is my wish,
that the beauty of this moment,
will forever be.
Thanks for stopping in at my blog. Good luck on your writing!

Hi, Tara. Wow, poetic adventurer. What a combination!
Btw, is there any media that accept outsider’s fictions (e.g. short story) in your country? With system like: we submit it via email, and if it’s ok, they pay us via bank transfer or cheque. If there’s such media you know, could you recommend me some? I’m in Indonesia. Thank much, before.
Thank you for your New Year 2009 visit to my site. Was pleased that you had not forgotten me. Take care of yourself.

Ah, never forgotten, such beautiful poetry remains in the heart and on the mind for a lifetime. That is why poetry can be “eternal” and such words never forgotten.
